The all new VOLUTION® VII. is the third design of the VOLUTION®-series. The focus of the development was the continuation of the HEICO design language: Sleek, minimalist, modern and functionally strikingly. Sporty, but not brash, and weight-optimized via “flow forming” and undercut milling techniques.

The result: just 23.6lbs, a superior result for a fully TÜV-approved, German-manufactured wheel. This low-weight design reduces rotating mass and unsprung weight, when compared to many similarly sized wheels, which helps in during acceleration, braking, and cornering.

The new VOLUTION VII. is a leap forward in technology, style, and peformance, and is available for the S60 models exclusively (no centering rings or different hardware required).

HEICO SPORTIV takes a holistic approach to Tuning, and high performance wheels and tires are an important step in their own right, but are also a solid compliment to other chassis improvements. Alloy wheels are of benefit for the following reasons:

- Contact patch: running a wider, larger diameter wheel requires the fitting of lower profile tires that improve grip considerably. Shortening its sidewall reduces a tire’s tendency to lift its inner edge under heavy cornering, which significantly reduces traction when you need it most. A wider, stiffer contact patch ‘sticks’ better to the road by keeping more of its surface planted at increased cornering speeds, an important safety and performance consideration.

- Compound: low profile tires feature high performance tread patterns and compounds at the leading edge of technology. A large part of the cost of a high performance tire is the rubber itself, which is often fundamentally a different construction than that used making a tire designed for mass production. High performance tire design is, by definition, more about grip, handling, and tackling demanding driving conditions.

- Brake breathing: larger diameter alloy wheels result in more efficient brake cooling by allowing hot air to escape the brake rotor and caliper area, as compared to a smaller diameter wheel. This is even more crucial on a street vehicle, where weight is a factor.
