The HEICO SPORTIV intercooler replaces the original Volvo intercooler. The unit is nearly the same dimension as the stock part, but offers double the cooling surface. Efficient intercooling is essential in high-performance applications, providing cooler air in the intake stream. This cooler, more dense intake charge provides a noticeable increase of power (approx. 10 hp), a better torque (approx. 15 Nm) and efficient fuel consumption (as compared to the same conditions with the OEM unit). The unit is not "making" HP, but it is helping to prevent the loss of HP that comes from heatsoak of the OEM unit. The HEICO SPORTIV intercooler is designed to compliment the T5-power upgrade, exhaust system and sport air filter and is meant to be installed using the original attachment points.
